Ice Breaker:  What is you favorite fast food item?  Least favorite?

1. Seven “I am statements” of Jesus in the gospel of John.  Discuss what each statement reveals about
      Jesus is and how that revelation applies to your life.
     a. I am the Bread of Life.
     b. I am the Light of the World.
     c. I am the Gate.
     d. I am the Good Shepherd.
     e. I am the Resurrection and the Life.
     f. I am the Vine.

2. The story of the loaves and the fishes illustrates that God’s power to us and through us plays out through
    our __________________.

3. John 6: 14-21:

14 After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.” 15 Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.

16 When evening came, his disciples went down to the lake, 17 where they got into a boat and set off across the lake for Capernaum. By now it was dark, and Jesus had not yet joined them. 18 A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. 19 When they had rowed about three or four miles,[b] they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were frightened. 20 But he said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.” 21 Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.

     a. God’s way is different than my way (Isaiah 55:8-9).   How is this displayed through the:
          i. Crowd that wanted to make Jesus king by force.
         ii. Peter walking on the water until he took His eyes off Jesus.
        iii. The disciples rowing against the wind until Jesus showed up and everything changed.

     b. What is the difference between “little t” truth and “capital T” Truth?
