Want to become what you were born to be? In Ephesians 2:10 Paul writes that YOU are God’s MASTERPIECE, created to change the world….to be a history maker! This year at Southside Youth we believe God is asking us a question, highlighted by this passage in John 5: 

1Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews. 2Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda[a] and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. 3Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.[b] 5One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?" 

Do we want to get well?  Do we want to be history makers?  Or would we find it easier and more comfortable to sit back in our dysfunction, safe, bored, and fearful?  We’re asking God this year to take each of us and shape us into the masterpiece He created for us. It's going to be a wild ride?  You in?
