Wisdom/bit of advice/quote: “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 25)
Wife: To say that Corinne is my better half would be a gross understatement.
Children: Victoria Kaye, Lucas James, Emma Jane Eryn, and Gabriel Isaiah
Education: B.A. History – Trinity Western University, B Ed – secondary – Simon Fraser University
Hope and Vision for Southside: To be doers of the word – and to never play it safe.
How you got involved with Southside: Our first week in Chilliwack was also Southside’s first week of existence!! Seemed like a great place to be – everyone was new, not just us. Southside immediately felt like “our church”! We’ve been there 12 years now.
A few of my favorite things: Reading a good book, hanging out with my family, spending time with good friends.
Etc.: "I'll tell you he is the King of the wood and the son of the great Emperor-beyond-the-sea. Don't you know who is the King of the Beasts? Aslan is a lion - the Lion, the great Lion."
"Ooh!" said Susan, "I thought he was a man. Is he - quite safe? I shall feel rather nervous about meeting a lion."
"That you will dearie, and no mistake," said Mrs Beaver; "if there's anyone who can appear before Aslan without their knees knocking, they're either braver than most or just silly."
"Then he isn't safe?" said Lucy.
Safe?" said Mr Beaver; "don't you hear what Mrs Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King, I tell you." (C.S. Lewis – The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe)
